Alexei has over 19 years of experience in finance, tax and civil law.

He heads the Tax Litigation Practice. Alexei leads tax litigations, represents clients’ interests within tax control proceedings and within court trials. He leads projects in rendering advice and conducting forensic enquiries. Supervises projects in preparing overviews of tax litigation practice for clients, business and professional editions and legal reference systems.

Alexei has considerable experience in successful dispute resolution and implementation of projects for clients operating in various sectors: fuel and energy complex, including production and shipment of oil & gas, oil processing, electric power industry, construction, machine engineering, transport, pharmacy, retail, media, IT, banking. The list of Alexei’s clients includes major Russian, overseas and international companies. He successfully implements complex, extraordinary, complicated projects and projects requiring non-standard approaches.

Alexei Yakovlev is highly experienced in implementing and managing the following kinds of projects:

•  tax and legal advice, legal support to everyday business operations;

•  legal support in audits;

•  litigations with various state authorities and economic disputes;

•  financial and corporate consulting, including due diligence;

•  development and legal implementation of and control over business project realization.

Alexei Yakovlev has considerable experience in public speaking at seminars and conferences including conferences held by The Moscow Times, Tax Club, Tax Advisors Chamber, Business Community Assembly. Alexei was engaged by Expert Council Board under the State Duma’s Tax and Budget Committee as well in work of Tax Committee of Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. He delivered specialized seminars in Corporate Energy University of RAO UES of Russia, banking training center Ulenta, as well as seminars for employees of companies and groups companies of Gazprom, Gazprombank, Gazprom Neft, Transneft, Metalloinvest, Severstal, International Grain Company etc

Alexei has a number of publications in professional and business editions such as Your Tax Lawyer, Financial and Accounting Advisory, Accounting. Taxes. Law, Financial Director, Property Relations, Tax Litigations, Arbitration Practice in Moscow Region, Practical Tax Planning, Ezh-Lawyer, Legal Newspaper.
