Alexei manages projects for the Tax Litigation Practice and handles tax disputes in courts of arbitration.

He is in charge of preparing reviews on tax arbitration practice and has over 17 years of experience in finance and economic law.

Alexei has carried out and managed complex, non-standard and complicated legal and tax projects, including:
• Preparing regulations on the liquidation of state-run enterprises belonging to Russia’s Ministry of Railway Communications and the transfer of their property to non-government entities set up by Russian Railways
• Making reports on special ToR with a full analysis of the civil and tax effects on transactions performed and planned by Gazprom’s subsidiaries
• Developing alternatives and a step-by-step plan for relocating a Moscow-based production enterprise and constructing a new housing project on the site vacated. Analysing tax effects and calculating tax burdens

Alexei Yakovlev is highly experienced in implementing the following kinds of projects, including as a manager:

• Development and legal implementation of and control over business project realization

During his work as a tax officer, Alexei gained considerable experience in interacting with tax authorities at different levels and regions. He is also experienced in providing tax and legal advice and representing client interests within tax control procedures exercised by territorial tax offices, upper tax authorities and courts of arbitration.

He has rendered litigation services to OAO Aviaexport, subsidiaries of OAO Gazprom etc.

Alexei Yakovlev has experience in public speaking at seminars and conferences on current arbitration practice issues and tax aspects in the civil field (bills, offsets etc).
