“General Director” magazine publishes comment of the Head of FBK Legal’s Financial Investigation Prcatice, Alexander Sotov on the law “On Police”.

According to the expert, nothing will change dramatically in the life of business. “This is no more than re-branding. If we call Russian national football team Superteam, they won’t start playing better. In case of militia – police it’s just the same. Moreover the staff remains the same,” – Sotov comments. He emphasized that in the new law there are no provisions which would make police fundamentally different from our native militia that had already become part of history. “Of course you can get into details, thinking over minor pros and cons, however it does not alter the core. Everything will remain as it used to be”, the expert continues. However, according to him, the version of the law that has been passed should never be considered as final. Sotov supposes that in the nearest half-year the law will be considerably amended.
